Takotsubo Syndrome (TTS), also known as the Broken-Heart Syndrome and Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy, is due to severe left ventricular dysfunction. The acute onset of this cardiac diagnosis is triggered by extreme emotional, psychological, or physical stressors.
